The pump supplies the water. The shower or cutting system decides where it is used, the nozzle pressure and how many outlets run at the same time.
Felt & Wire-Screen Showers
Cleaning water for the shower headers that clean paper-machine fabrics and wire screens. The pump duty depends on nozzle demand, the pressure needed and how many groups run at the same time.
The pump selection must also include filters and pressure losses between the pump and the shower.
Water-Jet Cutting
A small flow of high-pressure water for the cutting nozzles. EHIK supplies this water-jet cutting duty at Xiawang Paper.
The pump is defined by the cutting-system supplier's flow and pressure, and by how the system runs and stands by.
Central Flushing
Water for the mill's flushing circuit from one supply point. For a shared header, we need the peak demand, how the outlets are used and the hardest delivery point.
Before combining duties on one pump system, confirm whether flushing runs all the time, now and then, or together with other water users.
These pumps handle water for cleaning and cutting—not pulp stock, fibre slurry or black liquor.

Built Around the Shower-Water Circuit.
At Vinda, the pump sets are part of the mill's felt and wire-screen washing system, installed next to the paper machine.
For a new paper-machine line, EHIK can select pumps based on each shower group's flow and pressure, which groups run together, and the water supply available.
If these duties and the machine's control signals are agreed early, the mill and the equipment supplier can plan the layout together.

The cutting nozzles decide one duty. The active outlets and total demand decide the flushing duty. EHIK selects each pump for these needs, and for water quality, inlet supply and piping losses.
The close view shows the pump, drive, coupling guard and connected pipework at the cutting installation. EHIK can supply a pump and drive on a common base, or a skid with pipework, instruments and controls.
From Nozzle Demand to Pump Selection

The pressure at the pump is not the same as the pressure at the shower. Pipework, control valves, filters and height differences reduce it.

Nozzle type, number, flow and pressure decide the water demand. The selection covers minimum, normal and peak demand, including shower groups that run together and any separate cutting service.
Water & Inlet Supply
The water source, temperature, inlet pressure or tank level, filters and suspended solids affect the selection. EHIK matches the pump to the water treatment and the nozzles.

Which paper-machine water duties does EHIK support?
EHIK supplies pumps for felt and wire-screen showers, water-jet cutting and central flushing, with actual installations at Vinda and Xiawang Paper shown above. These are water duties. Pulp stock and fibre slurry are different services and are not covered by these projects.
How do pump pressure and shower pressure differ?
The pump pressure must cover the pressure needed at the nozzles, plus losses in the pipework, filters and control valves, and any height difference. EHIK can help establish the pump duty for the shower circuit.
Can one pump supply several shower groups?
It depends on the total flow and which groups run together. EHIK reviews the demand and the operating sequence when defining the pump and controls.
Can treated or reused water be used?
Both the pump and the nozzles must suit the water's chemicals, particles and filtration. EHIK checks the pump together with the nozzle system's water-quality needs. The words "recycled water" alone do not tell us enough.
