The pickup tube is the main wear part, like the wear ring of a centrifugal pump: when it wears, you replace it. For liquids with hard particles, we offer a coated wear-resistant pickup tube that lasts much longer.

EHIK pumps have replaced multistage centrifugal pumps and plunger pumps, with fewer repairs caused by wear. When we replace a multistage pump, we also help cut power use while keeping the required flow and pressure. Custom flanges match your existing piping, so the new pump connects directly.

EHIK pitot tube pumps can replace Roto-Jet pumps. The main replaceable parts are the pickup tube and the rotor assembly; other parts can be made from your old part or your drawings. We match the pump to your liquid, flow and pressure.

The liquid flows into the rotating chamber.
Rotation accelerates the liquid and builds pressure.
The stationary pickup tube catches the fast-moving liquid, turns its speed into more pressure and sends it to the outlet.
Because the chamber turns continuously, the flow is steady with no pulsation, for process feed and high-pressure supply.

EHIK replaced the multistage centrifugal pump at Kong 6 Well in the Zigong Operating Area of PetroChina’s Shunan Gas Mine. The motor was reduced from 90 kW (approx. 121 hp) to 45 kW (approx. 60 hp). Meter readings on site showed 39.5% less electricity for the same volume of gas-field water. The pump runs steadily and needs fewer repairs.
Estimated yearly saving: about 309,600 kWh.
About USD 20,000 a year saved on maintenance (project records).
