Roto-Jet Replacement

Replacing a Roto-Jet Pump

EHIK makes pitot tube pumps, the same pump type as Roto-Jet. We can supply a complete EHIK pump matched to your duty and your existing piping, or replacement parts for the pump you already have.

0.05–70 m³/h (0.22–308 US gpm) · Up to 1,050 m (3,445 ft) head · Up to 260 °C (500 °F) · One stage

Three Ways We Can Help

Complete Replacement Pump

An EHIK pump, pump set or pump skid selected for your liquid, flow and head. We make the flanges to fit your existing piping.

Replacement Parts

Pickup tubes in 12 sizes, rotor assemblies, rotors and rotor covers for Roto-Jet pumps. We send a drawing for your confirmation before supply.

Whole-Pump Overhaul

We also overhaul complete Roto-Jet pumps, including a pump repaired for a carbon black plant in Tianjin.

How We Match a Replacement Pump

  1. Liquid and dutyLiquid, temperature, density, viscosity, solids and the flow you need decide the materials and the pump size.
  2. Head and inlet conditionsWe check the inlet and outlet pressures, the NPSHa and the pump curve across your operating range.
  3. ConnectionsWe make the flanges to fit your existing piping. On every retrofit project so far, the new pump has matched the customer's piping. We also check nozzle positions, shaft height, the base and space for maintenance.
  4. DriveWe select the motor, coupling, power supply and speed control for your site.

We send an outline drawing for your project, so you can check the fit before supply.

Questions About Replacing a Roto-Jet Pump

Can an EHIK pump replace my Roto-Jet pump?

Send us the pump model and your duty. If the duty is within the EHIK range — 0.05 to 70 m³/h (0.22 to 308 US gpm) and up to 1,050 m (3,445 ft) head — we propose a pump and check the connections before we quote.

Will the new pump fit my existing piping?

We make the flanges to fit your existing piping. On every retrofit project so far, the new pump has matched the customer's piping. We confirm the base and the drive with you.

Can I keep my Roto-Jet pump and replace only the parts?

Yes. We supply pickup tubes, rotor assemblies, rotors and rotor covers, and we confirm the fit with a drawing before supply. See Roto-Jet parts.

Do I need to return my old pickup tube?

No. Send its size marking, a drawing or measured dimensions, and we confirm the replacement.

Is a Rotojet pump the same as a Roto-Jet pump?

Yes. “Rotojet” and “Roto Jet” are common spellings of the Roto-Jet name. Roto-Jet pumps are pitot tube pumps, the same pump type that EHIK makes.

What should I send with my inquiry?

A photo of the pump nameplate, the liquid, flow and head, the inlet and outlet pressures and NPSHa if you have them, and photos of the installation. A piping drawing is also useful.
