Keep Well Cleaning Moving.
There were not enough well-cleaning trucks, so an EHIK pump skid did the hot-water cleaning instead. Our project records show more than 100 wells cleaned.
The operating problem
The Cleaning Backlog Needed a Pumping Solution.
At Longhupao Oilfield, there were not enough well-cleaning trucks, and more than 100 wells were waiting for hot-water cleaning. The delay was affecting production.
An EHIK pitot tube pump skid was used for the hot washing. Instead of waiting for another high-pressure cleaning truck, the site connected the pump package to the hot-water supply and the wells.
Between October and December 2010, more than 100 wells were cleaned.

More Than a Different Pump.
Our project records compare the skid with the usual hot-washing method used at that time.
Less Fuel per Well
The 2010 project records show 30 litres less fuel per well than the usual hot-washing method.
Fewer Crew Members
The skid needed two fewer people: one driver and one pump operator.

Water Temperature and Supply
Water temperature at the pump inlet, source-tank level, suction pipework and available water volume decide the supply arrangement. Inlet conditions are important when pumping hot water.
Flow and Required Pressure
Cleaning flow, the pressure needed at the wellhead and losses between the pump and the well decide the pump duty. Cleaning time and the operating sequence also affect the package design.
Connections and Mobility
Plan the hose or pipe connections, power supply and equipment footprint. A skid lets you move the pumping equipment in one piece from site to site.
Controls and Equipment Scope
Agree what is included in the package: pump, drive, base, pipework, valves, instruments and controls. Agree which items the site will supply before manufacture.
